Thank you.

I've been doing 3D models for about 13 years, mostly for the sake of designing flying RC models and UAVs. Before that, I was a 3D programmer, which I don't miss at all. (much nicer being a "user")

Although a lifelong musician, (drummer) that business is becoming slimmer and slimmer, so I'm now doing a lot more 3D work. I prefer to remain an independent contractor, but hey, if you know of a golden opportunity, let me know!

Thanks again, and take care.

I am LOVING modo! I've used the variations of a piece of software now called "Carrara Studio" for over 10 years, so the transition to a new way of working did cause me some temporary brain damage.

But... My opinion is that modo has the best modeling tools around. It's just a matter of getting used to a different interface, and a different (and much better) way of working. I'm only a modo newbie (about 30 days) but can see that in the future, the quality of my models will go way up, while the time required to make the will be less.

Check it out at http://www.luxology.com (lots of free video tutorials you can look at, to get an idea of how the software works. The ones by Andy Brown are, in my opinion, the best.)

I've been using max for about 13 years now and modo looks pretty slick so I'm tempted to give it a go.

Hi everybody,

I've been doing an ongoing detail cleanup of this mesh model, as well as adding new details. This round, it's been a little more detail in the cockpit, closing up of the landing gear and weapons bays, and (although you can't see it at this scale) a "screen" texture around those vents which have that, on the actual aircraft.
