The F-22 is turnin' and burnin' in the UK even as we speak! Get a load of some fabulous shots from Farnborough as Max Moga puts his Raptor through the paces in the days prior to the official opening of the premiere air show in the world:

Any thoughts on what this might be?
My guess would be some type of RCS enlarger or spoiler. |

| Code3, during a maneuver such as the one which you posted, this alone will be an RCS spoiler... but to answer your question: yes, the indicated object is well known as an electronic-fired spoiler. |

Ob, if our Brit comrades are weighing anything with this mean machine, it would be it vs the poor-man Raptor, A.K.A F-35.
Most likely our Brit friends will simply appreciate the Raptor display for what it is and say a 'cheers' to it. |

It's never been officially identified but it is widely acknowledged to be exactly that. It's either that or a ray gun |

| Theres a RAF exchange pilot already flying the F-22 at Langley. He and Max Moga got to fly with the Red Arrows during their visit to Langley. |

Real nice displays by the F-22 and the F-16, the F-18 was OK.
Interesting to see the Sarang (India) aerobatic team with Helo's - there's a contradiction in there somewhere.
F-16 tailcodes were SP with 388 and 349.
The Vulcan flew just as the heavens opened, very fitting for the god of destructive fire and metalworking. A sight that I thought I would not see again.

Farnborough maybe the only place we Brits do get to see Max go through his routine. Show Day 1 of RIAT just got washed out [cancelled].
So my green levels already going up. If Sunday gets the thumbs down I'll be going red! |

| Anyone tell me why the F-22 needs an escort F-15 while flying over UK airspace?? The F-22 that went to Farnborough to qualify its display had its six covered!.. |
