Hello everyone,
I'm a lifelong aviation fan, and have followed the Raptor program since the YF-22 beginnings. After recently seeing the demo live, I'm inspired to build a 3D/CAD model of the F-22a. (I've used 3D/CAD to design a variety of models intended for RC, which you can see at http://www.nextcraft.com )
Researching the project, I've found what I expected, which is, understandably...
My background is in precision scale, so I've spent the last few weeks collecting all the info and drawings I can find on the net. After scaling them to the same size, I test them by putting them in PhotoShop, in different layers, and see if they match. Of course, they don't. Some were probably skewed for security reasons, and some are simply inaccurate. Again, that's understandable.
So, knowing that even the very best drawings will be somewhat inaccurate, do any of you have opinions as to which drawings are the most accurate that a civilian can obtain for such a project? And, (of course) would you consider either posting it here, or contacting me?
Thanks in advance to anyone who can help! |
