I'll give you that, but it was still the exception then; its expected now, otherwise its not considered "RAP". Just look at the sugarhill gang - foxtrotting popular in thier time, would probably get booed off the stage now.

Wu-Tang Clan, particularly GZA, Nas, Mos Def, Tupac, Biggie, Eminem, Beastie Boys.... There's tons of unknown, unsigned, or underground MC's out there who'd school garbage mainstream rappers like Lil Wayne or Soulja Boy. Hell, I'd rather get jiggy with Will Smith's PG-13 rapping before I listen to these two clowns.

Yeah ICP is sh!t. Limp Bizkit is about the same, but they have the rare ability to jolt me from sleep in the morning. IMO thats about the extent of their musical value......

I also am not a fan of country. To quote a comedian whose name I can't remember:
