Anyone out there who can make me a canopy for a two-seater F-16 scale 1:32. Actually I am converting the Academy kit into an Israeli F-16I Sufa and I am almost done, BUT i do not know how to make a canopy.
Do we have any experts who can make one for me?

Were you able to eliminate the wedge splitter RAM ducts and add the small bulge just aft of the heater strut? Also, there's a host of other major modifications like dual ECS, larger NLG tire, RW/EW antennas. Post some photos of what you got so far

As far as a 32nd D model conversion, there was one made for the Tamiya kit out of Taiwan, but it was hideously inaccurate!

If you can master up a good shape or form, We can cast it. It would need to be proofed though, before any molds could be done. We've been experimenting clear resin casting and have some real nice test shots of a similar conversion.

You may want to check over there on ARC, as there's a guy who's made a couple of D model coversions, one being for Hasegawa's 32nd scale F-16. They are not really for sale as far as I know, more like his own personal work.

No hard core hints from Tamiya yet, but from the on and off traffic I've been hearing it's not to far down the road. I would wait it out a while longer.

Thanks for the answer. Actually I made the airplane indclding most of the smass modifications, bus still have a lot to do. My problem by making a master for the canopy is that I really don´t know how to do it.
Will send you some photos after my holiday.

Actyally as I have heard a two-seater canopy in 1:32 is most wanted in the modeling community.

Don't waste your money. That's the same-lame F-16B/D conversion I mentioned above. Take note as it's hideously inaccurate; even worse than Kinetic's 48th D model test shot!

I have accurate (official GD) loft line drawings of the 2-seat canopy..... can you work from those?

What you need are the actual engineering "cross sectional" drawings, as those will better serve for making a master, Unfortunately, you may find more errors with the Academy kit, if you can find some accurate cross sectionals.

I was really considering going that route with the Tamiya kit, but not to far down the road, you'll see why I put off the project.

No, that's the same junk mentioned above. Again, it's terribly inaccurate and would be a crying shame if any one actually paid that much for it!

I could not believe the asking price either, especially when it's so horribly inaccurate. I could see some justification, had the conversion set been near Tamiya in respect to quality, "accuracy" and had a "complete" and competent cockpit to offer, but for what you get in that set; it's a total RIP-OFF.

Have faith H, as Tamiya is listening, it's their marketing department that's holding out right now.

That Ebay price of $[Link pending approval] is for 5 sets. so roughly $40 each.

Hey Curt! I had missed that at first. Still, $40 is highway robbery.
