Duties and Responsibilities:
  • To perform depot level electrical system maintenance.
  • Troubleshoots, inspects, and repairs assigned aircraft and equipment.
  • Documents all maintenance actions as prescribed by established procedures.
  • Orders and receives parts.

Performs specialty assignments, which can be, but are not limited to: flight line, dock maintenance, AGE, special vehicle maintenance, aircraft repair branch functions and intermediate maintenance fabrication shops.
Attend conversion / difference training on an unfamiliar fighter/bomber aircraft

Education and Qualifications:
  • Requires a minimum of 8 (eight) years experience in military fixed wing aircraft maintenance
  • Military qualifications as an Aircraft Electrical System Mechanic
  • US Air Force F-15, A-10, F-16 or other military aircraft maintenance experience is acceptable
  • US Navy/Marine Corps F/A-18, F-14, A-6, S-3 maintenance experience is acceptable
  • Heavy maintenance experience (phase dock, depot, iso-dock) preferred
  • Experience in performing or supervision functions such as the installation, repair, or modification of aircraft electrical systems is mandatory.
  • Ability to learn, transition, and work on unfamiliar fighter/bomber aircraft is essential.

FYI for anyone interested in this. I contacted the recruiter and here is the response:

Thank you for your inquiry. My name is Cheryl and I'm a recruiter with Aviation. The position in Dhahran has been temporarily placed on hold.
Open slots -

F-15 TSP Program:
Advance Electronic Company (AEC) is the new F-15 Contract holder for the next 3 years, http://www.aecl.com. The compounds are in different locations. Tax free salaries are in the range of 40s to 50s per year (depending on experience)
Benefits include:
- One year contract at a time
- Fully Furnished Housing provided
- 30 days paid vacation
- 11 Saudi national holidays - paid time off
- Airfare $ equivalent to round trip tickets to London and back at the 6 month point.
- Transportation via company provided system to and from work
- $500.00 for demobilization allowance

F-15 PDM Re-Engine Program: The Program begins 1 Sept 2008 and is an 18 month to 2 year program replacing the Royal Saudi Air Force F-15 fleets’ P&W engines with GE engines. We need Aircaft Maint (APG), Engine, Avionics, Structures and Egress technicians. I haven't received the salary details yet. But it offers competitive salary and excellent benefits package that includes free fully furnished housing, full medical, 30 days paid vacation plus 10 Saudi national holidays, accompanied/family tours etc.
