Does anybody know of, a list of the commanders of these units from the 80s?
Specifically, I'm looking for anybody associated with the wing jet from '87, 85-464. Red/White stripes on the tail, and also from '92-'93, black lightning bolt, 87-242.
Thanks!! |

You would be looking for Kevin Brogan for 242. He's in the crew chief section. Tell him Scott Currie ratted him out |

Well, the Air Force is promoting him to E-9, it'll be up to him if ever becomes a Chief. But knowing him, he will.
Some where I have a picture of that red and white vertical stab lying in the desert after the aircraft crashed at Nellis. |

I'm trying to time this right, I was at Ramstein with the F-4s as they were leaving and the F-16s were coming in. Then I returned with the F-16s. I think it was the Block 25s because they stopped the fancy tails while I was there with the -16s. I knew Kevin when we were both in the 512th.
Come to think of it, I'll have to find the picture since it might have been the dragon tail, not the peppermint tail. |

Didn't the 512th jet, the one with the dragon tail, crash? |

Nooo, its a USAF shot....I was actually looking for the guy behind him, Mark Payne, and stumbled across the series on the Defense Dept Visual website
http://www.dodmedia.osd.mil/
If you'll search for F-16 or Ramstein they series will come up. There's a neat one of him sitting in the cockpit with his helmet and mask on, canopy down, and one of Payne strapping him in. |
