Anyone remember back last RF-A when 86-0269 had that
<a href="news_article2376.html">midair with a Langley F-15</a> and it supposedly had a kill mark for surviving? Does it still wear the marking and can we get a picture of it?
 USAF F-16C block 32 #86-0269 from the 64th AS suffered a mid-air with an F-15C on June 11th, 2007 suffering damage to the left wing and stabilizer as on the tail. |

| LOL, I wonder how that floats on the Nellis flightline? I know somebodys feeling have got to be hurt about thats one. |

| Nah, I've recently PCAd to QA and they only took one guy from our shop so I'm still here on the ROK. But it definatly looks chilly up there still. |

This was not the first Eagle downed via mid-air with an F-16 where the F-16 landed OK. In November 1987, a Hill AFRES F-16B and an F-15 collided head on over Dobbins. The Eagle pilot ejected OK. The Viper's right wing and right tail took damage, but the jet landed safely. Back seat rider in the Viper was NASCAR racer Bill Elliott, who reckoned that filming a recruitment movie was more dangerous than racin' stock cars.  |

It's gone the other way too. The Viper didn't make it in this one. The driver got out safely, though, and that's really all that matters.

| It came back from Alaska with a lot primered flying surfaces and was painted shortly after. I'll email back and see if someone didnt get one. The DCC at the time is out now getting a job with Nevada Highway Patrol. He may of got one though. |
