Here's my first Viper. It had met some unfortunate mishaps as it was being assembled, painted and beyond. Hope you guys like it. Confused

There's at least three more coming up at this topic.

Welcome, Thanks for sharing from Philippines.

Good work mate, can you share a little 'bout the model and the assembly process? We can always learn something.

Just for the fun of it Crazy Pilot

Keep those vipers coming.

Okey JochemP Smile
I love doing what-ifs, it pushed my creativity to meet what I really like to do. This model was based on the scenario that the Philippines became a state of the US and has its own ANG. Its proximity to potential hotspots made it a priority and that is why it was equipped with the latest Vipers. However, instead of entrusting the new Vipers to ordinary PhAF pilots (most or some of whom just use the experience to fly for the big airlines) used the Israeli way of recruiting pilots from the best female college students. That is why the name of the fictional wing was "Strikerbabes of SPUQC" (St. Paul University of Quezon City) and its wing tail art is a uniformed student. Smile

The subject aircraft is the 91-0352. According to the story, it was turned over by the 52nd Fighter Wing (when it converted to F-22 Raptors) to the Philippine Air National Guard's 25th Fighter Wing and was flown by the Wing Executive Officer MAJ CARMINA ECHEVARRIA and its crew chief was SSg Marvin R Jurane. Unit markings were applied such as the tail art and wing name, but the falcon behind the canopy was retained. The pilot was wearing tan cover-alls that means the aircraft serves in Iraq. The aircraft serial number was relocated to the ventral fin (?). The wing has three Viper squadrons as represented by the tail bands red, yellow and yellow tiger. Wink

I'ved followed every tip from you, Habu and the other guys both in this and in the ARC forum. I started with the air intake halves in order to eliminate as much seam as I can. Its basically out of the box. But I'm in doubt about the location of its ALE-50 (because its mounted on Station 2). I used an unusual load out with the Harm on Station 3 and Maverick on Station 7 http://www.f-16.net/gallery_item99661.html . I preshaded it and used both Tamiya XF-24 Dark Grey and XF-57 (?) Neutral Grey as camo paint. I was also inspired by ANG Vipers specially Jake Melampy's pics on the ANG Comanders' Conference that is why I used a red tail and my friends made me decal for the tail art and other personal decal preferences. Finally coated it with Future and Grumbacher. Wink

I later realized that instead of using Neutral Grey, which was dark based on pix of Vipers bathing in the sun, XF-19 Sky Grey would have been a better choice. This is why I called my Viper as Strike Viper (just as the Strike Eagle is darker than the ordinary Eagle). Beer

I'm currently working on the California ANG Black-Tail Viper. I still don't have the fund to procure the decal sheet. As for my blocks 52 and 30, they'll accompany my first Viper as what-if Philippine ANG wing king birds. Confused

Nice.

If I was doing a pre-flight, when I got to the tail, I be hard pressed to finish the walk-around, let alone strap it on and fly. Very Happy

regards, OL

here's my latest Viper and my first 1/32 Tamiya F-16CJ. I just added some wirings and plumbings into the wheel wells, but basically out-of-the box. Met disaster on the air inlet trunk that forced me to make an FOD cover.

Thanks to Henrik and Habu. Cheers

another 1/32nd Viper to follow.
