| Can anyone give me an average for the times an F-16 is boresighted in its lifetime or a year's time? I know all the specific reasons for boresighting as listed in the 94GS manual, but I am trying to sell some new equipment and need the info to justify costs. Thanks in advance. Love this wesite and these forums. |

If we had to do them every year I would be pissed. This is a better question to ask Pointyhead, but my guess is every 3-5 years, and sometimes not at all. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. But as you already know some maintenance actions require it.

Only when the rear mount is moved, and then only if certain actions have taken place. No time is given in the T.O.
The last one we did was in the mid 90's. |
