Seriously though I was wondering if any of you guys were at or around Nellis in the summer of 93. Had a super guy I grew up with auger in red flaggin in FY/N 86-0250 Blk 32C silloed as an SU-27 bore #50...been 15 years and noone ever got an answer. I tried to research it here but got no more than I already knew. I know it was with the 414 CTS WA......and it decked sometime in the afternoon of August 10 '93...I got another buddie that worked the tower at Mynot for 6 years that could never find out a damn thing from Nellis tower.... Is this a big secret? Anyway anyone who might know thanks ...
Salutations to my old friend Capt. James H. Reynolds Jr. "Malibu" Keep the ABs lit see ya again some day bro! |

Thanks for the fast reply afterburner...you guys really do have your hair on fire! ....NO I got that pic from my friend that was at "Why Not!"... He's back home retired now too...we were both talkin the other day and found out we never got an answer to what the hell happened to Jimbo.as we called him, we went to school from 1st grade till graduation in a very small town here in Fla. about 35 miles N.W. of Orlando. All he ever talked about was the Academy and goin ballistic... As far as I know Yea...he was an aggressor in the red flag training ops that went on at Nellis at the time summer '93 and yea it was toofitty Silloed as an SU-27 and nummed fiver zero and I know for sure he augred in in the afternoon of August 10 '93...It's my understanding that alot of those F.S. groups have either been moved or just put outta biz. Happened in the Army too...they did away with my whole unit for a more effficient modular Army....Aint made the silk open any faster if ya ask me...anyway thanks for the other PICs there afterburner....keep um lit...
Rick

| Had a couple of confirmatrions and got the AIB report comming on this. I was wondering when I do get the AIB report on this crash is it at all possible to correct or elaborate at all on the incident report in the aircafts history? essentially it appears the aircraft was working perfectly at the time it went down and Captain Reynolds never attrempted to eject either. I don't want to elaborate much more than that till I have the AIB report in hand but I will tell you that it is completely opposite what alot of guys I know were led to believe. |

Howdy Friend,
I say that cuz any friend of Malibu's is sure to be a friend of mine. You see, I was Malibu's Crew Chief at Nellis on ol'Twofiddy from the time he got assigned to the 64th till aug 92(I got out). One helluva fine pilot, and one helluva great man. Never was a time he would come out to fly and he was'nt wearing that grin of his. I found out about him buying the farm just a few years ago, I would love to know anything you could find out about the crash too. So please, if you hear anything, let me know something too.
PLease lemme hear back from ya soon, Take good care
Tim
