I have a story very similar to that, but we were at Gila Bend, AZ, and parked off of the highway near the BMGR's Auxiliary Field, exploring the desert a little bit. That's when I looked off to my left, and saw it coming well before we heard it.
"It" happened to be a BONE on a low level, going Ludicrous Speed. He passed us at about 100 feet off of the deck, wings swept, with full smoke.
Pretty cool stuff. |
