Some good photos and captions here from the USAF site showing the hard working Guard maintainers doing what looks to be phase(?) F-16 work at Balad.

Be some good photos for Meathook and kind to use for depot related briefings. |

| Yep, good ol phase maintenance, which I really hate, because we get so many while deployed. My unit is the only one responsible for performing phases for our airframe in our brigade and those helicopters come every six days, sometimes in pairs, at 250 hours and 500 hours... It can be a pain in the butt, but when the aircraft leaves for its unit after MTF, the sense of accomplishment, you can appreciate that... I wonder how long a phase on a viper takes, ours are pretty much done in a week or so, provided we don't run into some major problem, allotted time being 15 days or so for a phase. |

| Wow, they moved to a different HAS. When I was there in Oct, my jet had a Phase done, but the HAS was very dark inside. I did see the HAS they were cleaning up and painting, and was told they would eventually move over there. Cool! |
