I wonder if the pilots will eventually come up with their own name. When did "Falcon" become "Viper" anyways?

What kinds of BSG watching nerd WOULDN'T want to be a fighter pilot. Remember, Fighter Pilots don't suddenly evolve into nerds, but Nerds can certainly follow the path to become fighter pilots. I know I would have if I could.
