How about 80-0510? Anybody a confirmed sighting (or even better a pic) of this Viper at Sierracin, Sylmar, CA?

Joris, your right again. We had the aircraft listed initially at Aviano but then moving to McCellan AFB. Not sure why?

Found this USAF photo of #81-0723

I know it's not the best quality but I only had a 35MM throwaway camera at the time.
You can see the live fire telemetry pod on the centerline and the AIM-7 pylon on Sta 3.

The YF-16 at Rome ADC. Strongly suggest someone pay a visit to the base and get permission to take a picture of the aircraft in its current condition.

For historical purposes, this aircraft needs to be preserved as it is the second F-16 ever built in prototypical form as a YF-16. What we would need is a C-17 to airlift this aircraft back to Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth where the company can donate plant space and have volunteers, including retirees restore the aircraft to its pristine glory. Spares can be scrounged from DM's vast collection of F-16's. Lockheed Martin could initially display the YF-16 as a historical artifact inside the plant until a more usitable space can be found, perhaps in the nearby Dallas Frontiers of FLight Museum next to the green lizard F-16B minus an engine cowling! (Fix that, too at the same time!)

Rome ADC has plenty of F-16 carcasses to choose from DM or may not even need a F-16!

One of the US Navy F-16Ns #86-1687 now preserved but cunningly disguised as a USAF bird

USNavy F-16N block 30 #163569 is now painted as a regular USAF (86-1687) spotted on display at NAS Fort Worth.
