Shaw F-16 makes emergency landing in Houston

August 21, 2003 (by Stefaan Vanhastel) - An F-16 Fighting Falcon from Shaw Air Force Base, SC, made an emergency landing at Houston's Bush Intercontinental Airport after reporting engine problems. The landing was uneventful and both pilots are OK.
The plane landed shortly after 4pm Tuesday without any problems, and taxied to a side runway where an unknown amount of hydrazine was released as a precaution.

At first, the pilots were going to try to land at Ellington Field, but officials decided to bring the jet into Bush instead.
