March 8, 2006 (by Lieven Dewitte) - Lt.Col. Nick 'Midas' Anderson, pilot with the 162FW, Tucson Air National Guard, passed the 5,000-hour mark in the F-16 flying a combat mission over Iraq
Midas is with the Arizona ANG
, Tucson. He is currently deployed with the 119EFS from the New Jersey ANG, Atlantic City, in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Almost exactly four years after passing the 4,000 hour mark
, Lt.Col. Anderson now joins a very select club of only two pilots who accumulated more than 5,000 flight hours in the F-16
USAF pilot Michael J. 'Brillo' Brill
was in November 2002 the first to reach that number of hours on the F-16.
F-16.net would like to congratulate Midas for this great achievement.
