RSAF deploys F-16s to France for exercise

Six F-16C/D jets from the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) left Singapore today for an exercise in France codenamed Exercise Western Arc. The bilateral exercise runs from September 20 to October 4 and will take place at Dijon Air Base in eastern France.
This is the first time that the RSAF is conducting a long-range deployment to France. The F-16 Fighting Falcons will transit through India, the United Arab Emirates and Greece. Two KC-135R tankers will provide air-to-air refuelling support for the more than 10,000 kilometer journey.
The two air forces will engage in air combat and air-to-air flying manoeuvres.
