First operational F-16 Block 60s arrived in Tucson today

September 3, 2004 (by Lieven Dewitte) - The first two operational F-16 block 60's landed today at the Tucson ANG, where pilots of the United Arab Emirates will start training with the 162nd Fighter Wing after the initial acceptance inspection.

International training like this is part of the 162nd wings mission since 1989.

The UAE took delivery of a first batch of F-16E/Fs in 2004. They are the second foreign country to train in Tucson.
