First started with the F-16 in the 50th EMS phase docks. Then went to the 50th TFW QA. By the time I left Hahn I was weight and balance qualified, ran the FCF program, cut trained to sheet metal and machine shops, hydraulic shop and fuel shop. Since I was also responcible for the impoundment program, I found myself involved with purging an aircraft with a contaminated fuel system where I worked closely with a Hill engineer and Belgium depot team. Later I had the opertunity to work with the gun shop to determine why we were having a rash of double feed problems with the gun. I the went to Moody with the 69th FS where I crewed, expedited, debriefed and flight chiefed. Deployed to the gulf with the 69th for Deserts Shield and Storm. I ended up in the 307th after Hurricane Andrew devistated Homestead where I was a Flight Chief and Production Super. My last assignment before retirement was at the Kun with the 80th FS where I started as a Dock Chief and ended as a Production Super. I had the opportunity to work block 15, 25, 30 and 40CG airframes. Prior to the F-16 I worked on the T-38 for 7 years at Williams AFB and Beale AFB with a stint at Spangdahlem AB in between where I crewed F-4C's then worked Transient Maintenance.
Current or Favourite assignment
Hahn has a tendency to grow on people. It was a tight knit community and I had the chance to learn the most about the aircraft there.
