I started in the Air Force 3 December 1980 as an jet engine mechanic on C-5A aircraft (when they were gray/white) then moved on to the F-111E at Upper Heyford. After that assignment is where I was introduced to the F-16 at Hill AFB as a jet engine mechanic. I was rivietized and started crewing jets at Torrejon Spain. From there I moved to Incirlik Turkey supporting F-16 units TDY. After that assignment I crewed for a few months at Luke before becoming an expeditor and pro super. Since then I held various jobs and assignments in management involving the F-16 and fifth generation aircraft.

Current or Favourite assignment

I have nothing but great memories of the 612 AMU since it was the first unit I went to war with. I still keep in contact with many folks assigned there as well.

Deployments

Best memories was my six month deployment to Incirlik AB Turkey in support of OPERATION Desert Shield/Storm and OIF/OEF deployment to Al Udeid Qatar with my brother from Torrejon Big Eddie "D".
