Some of the best friends I have ever had were part of the 78th from 95-97. Chris Lemmonds, Robbie "Floodsta" Flood, Roberto Restrepo, Joe "joebag" Galada, Ken Holland, Earl Galahugh (SP?) the list just keeps going.
Deployments
Red flag twice, long shot 96, OSW at PSAB Sep-Dec 96.
In the summer, I would need to vacume under the back seat after every flight to remove water that built up from the ECS system. If this wasn't done, the com system failed.
Did the acceptance inspection on this jet from the factory. I actually remember reading that the thing had 5 flight hours on it. Smelled like a new car. If I recall, the factory messed up and put a wrong piece of plumbing in the wing for the fuel line to the 370 tank, we actually had to bring in depot troops to rip the wing off and replace the pipe.
This bird eventually took over the assignment of the 20FW wing bird after I was assigned to 396.
