I have been a lot of places MacDill AFB, FL 1978-1981 (56AGS/61AMU), Hahn AB, West Germany 1981-1983 (50AGS/313AMB and 10AMB), MacDill AFB, FL 1983-1984 (56AGS/61AMU and 169CAMS SCANG TDY), Nellis AFB, NV 1984-1986 (USAFADS), Spangdahlem AB, West Germany 1987-1991 (52AGS/81AMB and 52TFW HQ), Tonapah Test Range, NV 1991-1992 (37AGS/416AMU and 416FS), Holoman AFB, NM 1992-1995 (416FS, 8FS, and 49FW HQs), Kunsan AB, ROK 1995-1996 (35FS), Cannon AFB, NM 1996-1998 (522FS). I was fortunate enough to get to crew a few different type aircraft during my career McDonnell Douglas F-4D/E/G, General Dynamics F-16A/B/C/D and Lockheed F-117A. The F-16 is my favorite.
Current or Favourite assignment
The 61st AMU is my favorite unit because it was my first. I started out crewing the F-4D and then was there for the conversion to the F-16.
Deployments
I was involved in the 169th TFG SCANG converting to the F-16 in 1983. This was the first ANG unit to receive the F-16. The Swamp Foxes were quite a bunch of guys and I had a great time while I was there.
