| I joined the airforce in Sept 1977 My first assignment was with the 60th OMS at Travis AFB CA working on C-5As my tail number was 90010 I was a flying crew chief so I went every where my airplane went. I got to see a lot of the world and accumilated 1268 flying hours. I got out in 1981 moved up to Washington worked civilian jobs for a while and then in 1983, I joined the Oregon Air Guard in Portland, the 142 FW at the time had T-33s and F-4C stayed with the 142nd for a year and then got hired with the 114th in Klamath Falls Oregon . They also had F-4C they are a training base. Worked on F-4s till 1988 and then we got F-16A and F-16Bs my tail number was #80-0637 it was a B model but wouldnt have traded for a A model because I had gotten 4 rides in a F-16 and all 4 were in my jet try that in a A model. we had F-16s till 1998 then we got F-15s we A and B models at first then went to C and Ds out of all the types of airplanes I worked on the F-16 was the best I retired from the Airforce 1n 2000 | ||
