Spent a year at Sheppard AFB molding a new generation of F-16 Crew Chiefs. Almost every one of my active duty students had orders to Korea fresh out of tech. Taught more Guard and Reserve than anything because of the shrinking number of active duty F-16 units. We converted from our old A-Models to the old block 32 T-birds. My students and I took care of 281, funny because a 281 was the designation for the inspection our Instructor Supervisors did on us periodically to make sure we were teaching IAW USAF standards. I really enjoyed teaching, but I missed crewin' the line so I palace chased to the Reserves and got picked up by Lockheed Martin workin' the first F-35 production models back at Eglin.
