Errors and Omissions

6042 at Spang

I was the original crew chief of this jet. I accepted it from the factory at Spangdahlem in 87. It wasn't in the 401st prior to that and it was part of the 81st...its only D model...not the 23rd. This jet was selected for Air Force Chief of Staff General Welch's final flight before retiring. I crewed it with A1C Clayton Robertson as the ADCC from when it got there until 1990 when I went to Moody. So...Aug 87 until at least Mar of 90 it was in the 81st at Spang. I have a couple pics if you want them.
