Although this airframe was destined for the RNlAF, it was never actually delivered to it. At the request of the US its destination was changed to the EAF on the production line. It was thus rolled out in EAF c/s and with Egyptian c/n 9F-7 from the Fokker factory. As an exchange (the RNlAF now being short one airframe) F-16A #87-0710/J-710 was later included in the Dutch order.
