Crashed into Atlantic Ocean 50 miles south east of Atlantic City, New Jersey. The pilot, Major Robert Dean Ashenfelter, is missing and presumed dead. The flight was a training mission with three other F-16s.

612th Tactical Fighter Squadron "Fighting 612th" , 1982 - 1985
It wa assigned to Maj Gen Al Logan and It was photographed over a bull ring in Madrid. The photo never took place. We were not allowed to fly an F16 over the city of Madrid so a photo was taken of a bull ring and 81-0758 was superimposed over the bullring. If you look thru the canopy you can see the contrast difference. 758 later crashed off the coast of New Jersey killing the pilot
