2018-2019 Kunsan AB; first base. 735 Panton Flagship was my first aircraft as third wipe with SrA G2 and SSgt Nathan Kline. Work sucked but damn if it wasn't a fun intro to USAF Crew Chief. PITFU! DBAP! RAGE!

2019-2020 Aviano AB; second base. 2057 second jet as second wipe with SSgt Brandon Graham. From zero to hero. RULE!!!

2020-2021 Aviano AB; second base, same tour. 203(great)8. First DCC of an F-16. Took over from SSgt Sean Best. I absolutely stole the tail flash form ops wall and still hang it on my wall. RULE!!!

2021-2024 Holloman AFB; third base. Put on SSgt and was met with 89-103 "The Vibe". An absolute work horse from Ohio National Guard that is a finicky bitch. She takes a lot of love but if given the attention, maybe 6 months of erroneous inspections to find an even more erroneous vibe, she could become an absolute work horse again... and that's what myself and SrA Brendan Hoffman did. FTFO!!!

Current or Favourite assignment

311th went from a hasbin of 'what the fuck' crew chiefs to setting the standard for AETC to the point the other 2 sister units would call upon us consistently for assistance. What the Winders created from 2021 to 2024 was truly exceptional and special. It was what made me into an NCO and what I feel I will use as a guide for my next 13 years in Active Duty.

My Jets & Assignments

90735 [Detailed history of this F-16]
Unit 35th Fighter Squadron "Pantons" [Unit History]
Period 2018 - 2019
Current: 90735   USAF 35 FS F-16C Block 40 [ act]
3/4ths of my tour at Kunsan AB, 735 was found to have EXTREME cockpit corrosion via the drain holes. 735 was down from my 9 month mark to well beyond when I PSC'ed in 2019 but after returning in 2024, 735 is flying still.

20thirty-great! Never did have a problem with Crew Chiefs but she made AVI and EnE earn their money!

What more is there to say with 89-103? Work horse, dependable, absolute pain in every maintainers ass when she is feeling moody. Was told as a Staff Select I was getting 103 and all the other experienced SrA and SSgts said "good fucking luck!". I thought to myself what could be wrong... what could be wrong is what I wish was outlined to me. 103 was a 'notorious' engine vibe F-16C. Prior to my arrival the 311th had spent 2 months identifying an aircraft vibe from what they isolated to as a loose arresting hook. That was not the cause of the vibe. Being the 311th and AETC, not the most experienced of pilots operate what was dubbed 89-103 'The Vibe', so it went many months without notice. Fast forward a few months and the 'notorious' vibe has returned and more violent than ever per the stick operator. As it's DCC I was assigned to a Tiger Team with my choosing of assistant who was a SrA that I knew for 3 years from Aviano; SrA Brendan Hoffman. We tore this jet apart from its engine, ADG, flight controls, JFS, PTO, hydraulic pumps, hydraulic reservoirs, ISA's; everything imaginable of any sane person. Nothing. Vibe still present. After a lengthy 4 months of engine runs, grueling maintenance, swearing to production teams that I am only feeling the vibe from 78 to 82% engine RPM's, we investigate the ECS system. Wouldn't you know it? From 1st stage bleed air to second stage bleed air in the cock pit kicks on from 78 to 82% engine RPM's. The fault was isolated to a rusted butterfly valve, replaced same day of identification, and no engine vibe has been felt since. This was May of 2023. 89-103 continues to fly with the 311th and will forever be known as 89-103 'The Vibe' in my heart.
